1943 Dodge WC56 Command Car

Well-presented 1943 Dodge WC56 Command Car with distinctive Canadian postwar history. This example represents an older restoration and spent much of its postwar life in Alberta, where it reportedly served at a logging camp hauling supplies — a fitting role for Dodge’s rugged ¾-ton platform. It was later owned by a collector in Edmonton, Alberta before being purchased by the current owner in fall 2023.

Since acquisition, the Command Car has been regularly enjoyed at car shows, military vehicle events, and public outings, where it consistently draws attention. Within the last year, the fuel tank has been professionally cleaned, supporting reliable operation.

This WC56 has proven to be a rewarding and enjoyable vehicle to own — equally suited for shows, parades, reenactments, or as a distinctive addition to any military vehicle collection. Ready to be appreciated and enjoyed by its next caretaker.
