This Jeep comes from our personal collection of unrestored original Jeeps. We have been collecting WWII Jeeps since 1963 and view this Jeep as one of the nicest we have come across. We purchased this Jeep from the original owners family in 2004. They bought this Jeep as surplus in the crate after the war. The Jeep was never put into service and was new in the crate at the end of the war. It then sat in a heated garage in Maine where they lived for many years. The family owned a Ford dealership in the 40's and 50's in Maine. There is still a decal in the left rear corner of the Jeep from their dealership. They were also Willys dealers. The Jeep only has 6,200 miles and is one of the nicest we have ever found. The Jeep retains its original tires, seats, top, doorway straps, etc. This Jeep was painted over with a gloss OD after the war. Under the hood you can see the original factory OD. Coincidentally we have a 1944 Willys MB that was new in the crate after the war with 2900 miles on it that was painted the same shade! The Jeep has the deep mud exhaust. This Willys MB is truly one of the nicest you will find.
